You finally turned your [hopefully] million dollar idea into a solid business with a strong marketing strategy. You create your website and develop a social plan, sit back and relax, and leave it to your intended customers to do the rest. 

As a brand, you have a load of expectations when it comes to your customers. You want them to click, fill, provide, play, buy, and so on. Your survival depends on their collaboration. You as a business are always aiming for engagement because that is the first time in making users stick around. Whether it be on your social platforms or website, you need to keep the possible customer interested long enough to be sold.

What do you have to offer to users? Why should they stick around? Whether through your social platforms or website, you want to make sure the content you are sharing immediately and easily displays what you have to offer to visitors. Reward your customers for investing time and effort in your brand.

Ever heard “Keep It Simple, Stupid”? If we are to succeed, the first step is to be simple. That doesn’t mean dumbing things down, but it does mean finding the core of the idea. Figure out the key takeaway you want users/visitors to have and find the easiest way to communicate that. Core messages help people make choices by reminding them of what’s important and enabling that to guide their decisions.

What makes people believe ideas? We base it on authorities — our parents, traditions, experts, etc. If one can bring in a true authority then the problem of credibility is easily solved. However, if you can’t get a credible source to endorse you, have your existing customers do so. Encourage people to leave reviews, share on their social media, and spread the word.

Influencers are also a great way to establish social proof. Nearly 90% of all marketers find ROI from influencer marketing comparable to, or better than, other marketing channels. As of October 2020, there were 500,000 active influencer accounts on Instagram alone. According to Instagram statistics, user-generated content has a 4.5% higher conversion rate compared to company-produced content – makes sense why influencer marketing takes up more than half of the marketing budget for 17% of marketers. 

Relevancy 

Keep up with the trends. This tip is extremely important to help your brand stay relevant. The world of trends is constantly changing and news ones are always appearing. If you don’t prioritize keeping up, you could be left behind. 

Your business may have already done the work in identifying customer personas, however, your customer can differ on social media platforms and each persona can change per platform. By knowing their emotional, psychological, and physical states along with specific behaviors, you can better present them with content that connects because it is relevant. Do your research, keep up with the latest statistics, and stay on top of the trends. 

Accessibility 

How easy is it to navigate your website? Are you mobile-friendly? Few users will read even the whole of a single page on your site. Instead, they’ll scan for what they need. Can visitors quickly find what they are looking for on your site? You want to make sure your layout is simple and easily navigable.

However, social media should be used as an aid when establishing your brand online. A website can allow you to establish who you are, what you do, and how you do it.
